Endowment gifts are investments in the future of Vancouver’s past! An endowment gift is invested and the annual interest generated from the gift or principal, in turn, is used by the VHF as you have designated: for the tours, lectures, workshops, and granting programs. The principal remains untouched in perpetuity. In other words, your endowment will exist forever, creating a lasting legacy. An endowment gift can be made during your lifetime or through an estate gift.

Endowments (gifts of any size can be directed to the endowment fund) are gifts of real property, cash, securities, and bequests that provide ongoing funding for the programs of the VHF. Tours, lectures, workshops, and granting programs such as True Colours and Restore It! all benefit from the revenue stream generated by interest from the Heritage Conservation Endowment fund. 

Recognizing Your Gift:

• A tax receipt will be issued to you for the full amount of your gift
• Your gift will be recognized on the VHF’s website and in the Annual Report
