The Victoria Heritage Foundation, the Vancouver
Heritage Foundation and the Heritage Society of
BC, with financial assistance from the British Columbia
Heritage Trust, have produced the first five in
a series of practical and educational Your Old House
brochures for restoring older houses.
It is hoped this series of practical guides will
be beneficial to thousands of property owners and
trades people throughout British Columbia. Most
homeowners working on their old houses have not
had ready access to reliable, practical information
on appropriate preservation and rehabilitation techniques
and products. We anticipate development over a period
of time of a full series of do-it-yourself technical
brochures for the conservation and maintenance of
older homes, to be made available both in pamphlet
form and via the Internet.
