Vancouver Heritage Foundation: created as a private, charitable organization in 1992 by the Mayor and Council of the City of Vancouver, who remain its honorary patrons until today. Under the direction of a private citizen Board of Directors, the Foundation assists with the conservation of Vancouver's built heritage, in recognition of its public benefit.

The VHF office library

Founding Pillar and Major Donor, Yosef Wosk, has donated $5000 to create a public reading collection for the VHF office. The collection is focused on resources related to the conservation of heritage buildings and the history of Vancouver 's built heritage.

A carefully selected collection of books, reports and documents, plus computer links to heritage related websites, provides assistance to building owners and the interested public. The list of titles we have purchased or received by donation is detailed in pdf format below. We welcome new donations (see our wish list on Amazon Canada), as well the suggestion of further resources that might enhance the collection.

The VHF is grateful for the support and expertise of retired UBC librarian and VHF Founding Pillar, Heather Keate. Heather will help with the coordination, selection and organization of the reading room resources.
