VHF has produced a number of map guides which explore Vancouver’s diverse historic neighbourhoods. Current guides are available in print from the locations listed below. Many of our older guides are out of print, but work well on tablet computers.
Historic Chinatown: Vancouver’s Chinatown Map Guide
Our Chinatown guide has been updated! Originally written and designed in 2009, this update includes newly researched and written text, modern images and a redesigned format that is both contemporary in print, and easier to navigate online. The guide is available in both English and Chinese-language.
Thank you to sponsor: City of Vancouver Great Beginnings.
Historic Kitsilano Map Guide
Our newest map guide reveals the changes that have taken place in Kitsilano, offering a glimpse of the people who lived there and shaped the neighbourhood. This particular guide focuses on the Northeast corner of Kitsilano including three Fairview sites related to the former village of Sun’ahk. Discover Historic Kitsilano on your own with our online PDF or pick up a copy at our office.
Historic West Hastings Map Guide
The Historic West Hastings map guide has a new look! Thank you to generous sponsorship from the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association, we were able to re-print this popular guide book. This also gave us opportunity to update the content of the guide, and give the design a fresh new look, in line with the recently produced Historic Kitsilano map guide. This guide is available in hard copy at our office, or by downloadable PDF below.
