School Grants

To support local field trip costs and books about local history and heritage.

If you are a teacher or affiliated with an educational institution in Vancouver (priority is given to Vancouver School Board public schools), you can apply for one of two available grants per school calendar year.

A book grant for your class or school for:

  • A selection of books related to Vancouver’s heritage and history (see side photo for current books)
  • A field trip grant (to cover some of the costs for admission to a heritage place or for a guided tour in Vancouver related to heritage and history).
  • You can apply one time per school year, per teacher. Feel free to connect with other teachers or teacher-librarian at your school to coordinate grant asks for classes.
  • We are now accepting applications for book grants for the 2020/2021 school year as well as for virtual field trips.
