Seeking Heritage Homes for Research on Carbon Impact
We are on the lookout for five homes built before 1940 that are undergoing extensive energy retrofits for a research project focused on embodied and operational carbon in heritage properties.
Requirements and Benefits
- Property Type: Homes must be multi-unit residences or in the process of converting single-family homes into multi-unit dwellings.
- Project Focus: The renovations should enhance energy performance while preserving the heritage character of the buildings.
Participants in this initiative can receive grants of up to $5,000 to assist with various improvements, including:
- Window repairs
- Installation of storm windows
- Heat pump installation
- Insulation upgrades
- Air sealing
- Induction stove installation
