Every donation to Vancouver Heritage Foundation is gratefully received and every dollar makes a difference. We accept donations year round to help support our educational programs, projects, grants and more.
In following public health authority guidelines, we cancelled most of our spring 2020 programming, a main source of funding for VHF. We are grateful for all the support and encouragement we have received during this challenging year. Your donations have made it possible to keep offering key programs.
Heritage places can connect us to our city and neighbourhoods, to local history and to each other. In 2020 and into 2021, we have adapted plans and embraced new technology, taking events virtual, and developing and highlighting other ways to explore and learn about Vancouver’s history and heritage. We’ve worked to continue direct support for heritage places with our grant programs so that conservation work, energy retrofits and new publications can proceed, supporting local jobs.
We are pleased to announce that we reached our goal of $4,500! Thanks to 3 generous donors, we were able to double the support given during this campaign.
Please consider making a donation to Vancouver Heritage Foundation. We can accept donations by mail or simply click the “Donate Now” button below.
Donations are essential for sustaining our programs in the coming year, and our work to provide direct support to heritage places. We need your help to continue to deliver affordable programs, build and maintain free resources, provide school programs, support publications and heritage conservation with grants, and help create a better environment for heritage projects.
You can make a donation to support a specific VHF project or program. Just let us know if you would like to direct your donation to one of the following: VHF Schools program; Heritage Site Finder interactive map; Places That Matter; VHF Map Guides.
All donations are tax deductible according to CRA regulations. An official receipt for income tax purposes is issued for donations of $20 or more. Those who donate over $1,000 during a single calendar year are considered Major Donors. For more information on our Major Donor program, click here.
VHF’s registered charity number is 891765968.

As a charitable organization, we are grateful for all donations. Your support means we can promote appreciation of Vancouver’s unique history and heritage places, and support conservation projects with education, information and grants. Donors are acknowledged on our website and in our annual reports.
VHF is able to accept donations in memory of a specific person. If you would like us to send a personalized letter to the family or loved ones informing them of your gift, please indicate on the online form the name of the person the gift memorializes and the address where the letter should be sent. You can also contact us directly via email to discuss your gift.
